A survey flagged the insulation while the sale was going through. We topped up the full 120m² bungalow loft within the week of the survey so the sale was not held up.
Winchester
Spray foam applied to the underside of the roof four years earlier, removed back to bare rafters and felt. The roof timbers had come through in good condition, with no significant damage found.
Basingstoke
Rats had got into this Stoke Gifford loft and the roof space had little working ventilation. We stripped out all of the old insulation, proofed the entry points, added eaves ventilation and laid a fresh 300mm layer of Knauf mineral wool.

Around 70m² of old fibre insulation was removed, a fresh 100mm layer installed where required, and approximately 120m² of SuperFOIL fitted across the roof structure of this 120m² farm loft.
Bridgend
Emma's front and rear bedrooms, split by a central chimney breast, both cooled quickly. We insulated the 40m² floor on both sides of the chimney to a full 300mm depth.
Bradford
Tom noticed condensation on the bedroom windows and rapid overnight heat loss. We gave his compact 31m² loft a full 300mm Knauf glass mineral wool layer, fitted carefully around the hatch and low edge bays.
Southampton
Peter's upstairs ran consistently colder than the ground floor even after a heating service. The 46m² loft was almost completely uninsulated, so we installed a full 300mm Knauf glass mineral wool layer from hatch to gable.
