Telford is one of Britain's post-war new towns, designated in 1968 to absorb overspill and knit together older settlements like Wellington, Oakengates and Dawley. Most of its housing is therefore 1970s and 80s estate development and later modern housing, with pockets of older Victorian terraces in the original towns and historic cottages down in the Ironbridge Gorge. That youthful stock shapes loft work here: many roofs already hold insulation, so the questions are usually depth, boarding and ventilation rather than a first install.

Much of Telford's housing dates from the new-town era, with modern trussed roofs that already carry some insulation — the real question is whether topping up to current depths and adding boarding is worthwhile. Condensation is common in poorly ventilated modern lofts, particularly where a bathroom fan discharges into a trussed roof void. Insulation alone will not fix a moisture problem, so we find the real cause — airflow, a leak or a misrouted extractor — before recommending work.
In Telford, cost depends mainly on loft access, whether existing insulation needs topping up or removing, and any boarding or ventilation work. The tight voids of trussed modern roofs can also affect how straightforward a job is.

Often, yes. New-town roofs were typically insulated to older, shallower depths that storage has since compressed. Topping up to current levels and adding raised boarding usually helps, and we'll advise honestly if it does not.
